Design & Visual Communication

Design is about more than aesthetics—it's about solving problems through thoughtful communication.

Every project begins with understanding the audience, organizing information, and identifying the story that needs to be told. Whether developing a brand identity, designing a publication, creating campaign communications, or translating complex technical concepts into clear visual experiences, my goal is to create work that is purposeful, engaging, and built around the people it serves.

Hope Great Water Psychology Services
Corporate Identity & Brand Standards Guide (2025)

Developed for a new private therapy practice, this visual identity was designed to communicate calmness, hope, and trust through a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Inspired by the symbolism of Hope, Great Water, the branding combines a distinctive logo with a restrained monochromatic palette that reflects the practice's compassionate and professional approach.

To support long-term consistency, I also created a comprehensive brand standards guide featuring logo variations, color specifications, and usage guidelines for both print and digital applications.

Rasmussen & Koskoski Borough Council Campaign
Campaign Branding, Photography & Print Communications (2016)

As Campaign Manager for the Rasmussen & Koskoski Borough Council campaign, I developed a cohesive visual identity that elevated the campaign's public presence and helped distinguish it within the community. From campaign branding and print materials to original photography and visual messaging, every piece was designed to communicate professionalism, credibility, and a positive vision for Metuchen.

The unified identity supported the campaign's outreach efforts and contributed to the successful election of both candidates.

All campaign photography was captured using my Nikon D90 DSLR.

Change History
Grass Roots Campaign Sticker (2008)

This sticker was designed to create an instantly recognizable visual identity for community outreach efforts. Drawing inspiration from Shepard Fairey's HOPE poster, the design uses bold color, simplified forms, and strong typography to produce a memorable piece that could be easily distributed during campaign events and voter engagement activities.

Calm & Mindful
Corporate Identity, Business Card & Brand Collateral (2016)

The visual identity was designed to communicate clarity, balance, and compassion. Contemporary sans-serif typography provides a clean and confident foundation, while soft gradients and generous white space create a calm, inviting aesthetic. Together, these elements reinforce the organization's commitment to mindfulness, emotional wellness, and personal growth.

The Ideal Centennial
Editorial Design, Art Direction & Publication Design (2021)

Created to commemorate Ideal Jacobs' 100th anniversary, The Ideal Centennial celebrates a century of innovation, craftsmanship, and the people who shaped the company's history.

Working closely with company president Andrew Jacobs, I was given full editorial and creative direction over the publication—from concept development and visual storytelling to page design, typography, photography, and production. The result is a commemorative book that weaves together historical milestones, employee stories, global partnerships, and company culture into a cohesive narrative.

Distributed to customers, suppliers, and business partners around the world, the publication served not only as a celebration of the company's first century, but also as a reflection of the relationships and values that continue to define Ideal Jacobs today.

Of all the projects I've completed throughout my career, this remains one of the most meaningful. Having the opportunity to tell the story of a company's first hundred years was both a creative challenge and an incredible privilege.

The Tao of Andrew
Package Design & Promotional Media

Created as packaging for a series of promotional audio CDs, The Tao of Andrew was inspired by Andrew Jacobs' thoughtful and unconventional approach to business and life. Building on that concept, I developed an Eastern-inspired visual identity featuring yin-yang symbolism, balanced composition, and minimalist design elements to create a memorable promotional piece that reflected both the author's personality and the spirit of the audio series.
